EQUAL ACCESS PROJECT

ALL COURSES REGISTERING NOW AND FOR FUTURE DATES

We organise a variety of health and leisure activities for the diverse community of Earl’s Court and surrounding area. In line with the ethos of the Equal Access Project, all of our activities are open to everyone, although some will inevitably tend towards particular client groups. We are always open to suggestions and encourage our users to take an active role in planning and developing new projects.

Recent projects have included:

An equal access art project entitled ‘Voice to All’, which attracted artists with a range of abilities to participate in a series of workshops led by two renowned artists, producing work around the theme of the individual in the community for display during the Earl’s Court Festival 2005.

Regular disco dances for older residents of Earl’s Court and surrounding area, featuring the legendary DJ Frankie playing old time rock n’ roll and other classics from the 1950s and 1960s.

A range of trips out to cultural and musical events for older residents and indeed anyone else in a disabled-accessible minibus. Recent trips have included the London Sinfonietta Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall, traditional tango on the South Bank, an organ recital at Notre Dame de France and a Proms recital at Cadogan Hall.

Please see the information window at Response for details of forthcoming trips and please feel free to give us your suggestions for future trips you would enjoy.
